Live 4 Pakistan video messages from Imogen Heap and Mary Robinson
As you're probably aware, Imogen and Mary were trapped in the aftermath of Hurricane Earl and unable to participate in the live event. We now have a video message from them (including a performance from Imogen) which they taped on the day of the event:
A post-event message
from Imogen Heap:
Hey all! Thomas and I are so so sorry we couldn't join in on our own party, but you can't argue with a hurricane!
We will upload 3 videos from Sir Richard Branson, Mary Robinson and myself to the website when we get a hold of some internet finally. We'll watch the whole event over some drinks and look forward to it very much.
Amazing in just 48hours what everyone managed to do to get this crazy idea together. We hope to do it again though and next time be present!
Thank you to all the speakers and musicians and a big thanks to you Ze for holding this together. We've heard great reports! You're a complete gem! Dinners x 1000 on us :) and to the tech behind the scenes team.
Most importantly, thanks to all those who've donated money for Pakistan. May this be the first of many fund raisers. Amazing times we live in that this can even be achieved. Lots of love!!! Xxx
Starting at 4PM BST (UK) 11AM EDT (Eastern US)...

About the webcast!
We wanted to do something engaging and collaborative involving musicians, speakers and you, the audience, to participate in raising money for the pakistani floods.
As you know Monsoon rains have caused extensive flooding throughout Pakistan.
Around one fifth of the country was hit, causing over 14 million people to have been affected, 900,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed and the death toll is rising.
The future of Pakistan and its region are at risk . Our global and connected communities can help today by coming together and showing solidarity.
Firstly and most importantly, we're looking to fund raise for a group of charites on the ground.
A further aim is to stimulate a debate between you and the speakers perhaps generating lifechanging ideas and solutions which could address the long lasting social and geopolitial consequences.
So, this is about the disaster relief and also how life copes after the flood.
See you online!
